A couple of "new" restaurants  in the Marina area you might want to check out
are:
1)   Garibaldis -- located at the Regina. "Every night is a fiesta night" ,
there's a zippy dance and song show, followed by open dancing. Menu favorites
include barbque shrimp and prawns "all you can devour".
2)   La Estancia -- located at the Marriott Hotel. In addition to a great
buffet, the dinner menu includes includes a wide variety of seafood, poultry,
and beef dishes.  The artichoke salad stuffed Alaskan crab meat is a real
delight.
3)   Angela's -- located on the corner of the Marine del Rey condos. They
have excellent home made Italian food with fresh pasta dishes such as lasagna
and fettuchine with different sauces to choose from. In a family atmosphere,
at a reasonable price. You can eat out on the terrace, get it to go, or
delivered.
4)   Porto Bello -- On the Marina Vallarta Malecon, owned by a couple of
Canadian, this Italian menu restaurant has a spectacular view of the Marina
Vallarta. Fridays are fish day. Their huachinango filet with pasta and a side
vegetable of the best tasting broccole in PV, is absolutely wonderful.
Another favorite is eggplant. For a sweet conclusion be sure to have a slice
of Tiramisu cake with cappuccino or warm pecan pie with ice
cream. Yum yum.
5)   Mikado -- also at the Marriot Hotel. Your cook does all his chopping,
sauteing, cooking, and entertaining right at your table. Try some of
everything, including, an appetizer of sashimi, chicken and beef sate and a
tempura; soup or salad; chicken, lobster, fresh fish; fried rice especially
to see the chef break the eggs; fabulous dessert.
6)   there are many other interesting restaurants in the marina area,
including some at other hotels too. scout around and try them !
